5 Day Culinary Workshop in the South of France

Dates: End of Sept to early Oct 2021, TBC

Ticket Price: 2,500€ per person based on two people sharing a double bedroom (we do have one twin room). Regrettably, there will be a single occupancy supplement of 500 euros if not sharing the bedroom. So best to come in a pair with a friend, a partner or a family member. More the merrier! If you are a big group that would like to book the workshop exclusively, we can offer a group discount of 10%.

To reserve a place or for any questions please contact us. We require a 1000€ deposit upon booking and the balance to be paid at least 6 weeks before the start date.

Included in the price:

  • 5 nights accommodation at La Maison du Mûrier. All bedrooms are en-suite with private bathroom

  • 2 culinary workshops led by Chef Avner Laskin

    • Sourdough bread and pizza making in the outdoor wood-fired oven

    • Lamb and seasonal vegetables - cooking with local lamb from Sisteron, known throughout France for it’s excellent flavour and tender meat.

  • All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course the all important apéritifs!) including the two workshop meals we will be cooking together

  • Visit to a local Provençal market with Chef Avner

  • Visits to local artisan producers. We are planning to visit a local goats cheese farm and a vineyard (details TBC)

  • Wine during meals and apéritif drinks and nibbles

  • End of workshop finale meal in our walnut orchard cooked by Chef Avner. We will celebrate our time spent together and will be inviting the local artisans that we had visited during the course of the workshop. We will dress up a little for this last night to make it extra special. Champagne and good wine will be flowing to accompany the special meal!

Airfare and travel costs to and from La Maison du Mûrier is not included in the price. Pick up from airports can be arranged at an additional cost. Please enquire for details. Travel insurance is not included, please ensure all necessary travel insurance is acquired before your departure.

Avner Laskin

Avner is a chef and an artisan baker who is passionate about Mediterranean food. His philosophy is to cook simply using the freshest and best ingredients available and letting the quality of the produce shine through in his dishes. With over 20 cookbooks under his belt, extensive experience as a chef restauranteur in his native Tel Aviv, and his training and studies in France gaining him Grand Diplome de Cuisine et de Patisserie and Diplôme de Pain de Tradition et de Qualité from Le Cordon Bleu and L’École Profesionnelle de Lenôtre respectively, he is a chef of both skills and creativity.
