Heated Swimming Pool

The Terrace Villa comes with a 10 metres x 4 metres swimming pool. It is heated from April to October. The UV disinfection system keeps the water crystal clear so it is low on harsh chemicals like chlorine and there is also no need for salt. The pool is situated just outside the large double doors opening out to the stone paved terrace, making it super easy for a quick dip in the pool.

Well Equipped Kitchen

The kitchen is very well equipped and will no doubt please even the most discerning of cooks. The Smeg double oven cooker range comes with a 6 ring gas hob cooker with an oven and another separate rotisserie oven. The kitchen offers plenty of space to cook and prep, with a counter bar to one side where your friends can keep the busy cook company with a glass of wine in hand. Some of the equipments you will find are Magimix food processor, blender, Marcato pasta machine, Nespresso coffee maker, Moccamaster coffee machine, and most importantly, a good selection of sharp knives.

Workout & Boot Room

The Workout Room which also doubles up as a Boot Room for drying your skiwear and storing your skis and snowboards can be found on the ground floor level. Here you will find some dumbbells, kettlebells, yoga mats, ballet barre, balance ball and other basic workout essentials so you won’t need to miss your routine work-outs during your stay at La Maison du Mûrier. We also have two inflatable kayaks and two paddle boards for the guests to use, as well as four electric mountain bikes for exploring the many fantastic trails around La Maison du Mûrier.

Hot Tub

The bespoke Japanese style hot tub which seats 4 people comfortably or 6 cosily, will be filled with fresh water for every booking. It’s great for a relaxing soak after having hit the slopes to ease those muscles; or even in the summer evenings, it’s wonderful to gaze up at the star filled sky whilst soaking in the tub. After you’ve warmed up, you can always have a dip in the pool for a refreshing swim! The hot tub is available for use throughout the year.

Pétanque Court

There is a pétanque court for a game of boules. Perfect with a glass of pastis in hand. You are in the South of France after all! Even if you’ve never played before, the rules are easy enough for anyone to pick up quickly and it is surprisingly addictive. Most of our friends get hooked once they’ve had a go!

Cellar Bar

We have a cellar bar with original stone vaulted ceiling dating back to the 17th Century. The honesty bar is well stocked with various spirits and syrups made with local herbs, fruits and berries. If you can tear yourself away from the pool, why don’t you wander down for some cocktail mixing or an evening sampling different wines with some cheese? There is also a Magimix ice cream maker if you fancy churning up some homemade ice cream using fresh local ingredients. Our favourite flavours are reine-claude sorbet with the greengage plums off our trees, mulberry ice-cream with the berries from our ancient mûrier, rum raisin and fig leaf, but it’s hard to beat a classic vanilla!

Outdoor Wood-Fired Oven

The outdoor eating and cooking area situated under the handsome oak tree comes with a wood-fired oven for homemade pizzas and a charcoal grill for your barbecue. The region on average benefits from 300 days of sunshine a year, which means plenty of opportunity for alfresco dining. Even in the winter months, when the sun is shining, it is often warm enough for a lunch on the terrace.

Cinema Room

The Cinema Room with a special rear projected glass screen measuring 200cm x 110cm is a cosy space for a movie night. We have a selection of DVDs but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. There is also a mini fridge to keep your drinks and some nibbles to snack on during the film.

Workstation

The workstation on the suspended floor is tucked away to give you some privacy if you need to get away for a bit to catch up on your work. Still, you won’t feel completely cut off from the rest of the group as it hangs above overlooking the lounge area and out of the window, you can look out onto the swimming pool. The 3 metre wide solid oak desk and 2 Eames Aluminum office chairs make it not only practical but a comfortable work space.
